Rick Barnett has more than 30 years of engineering and trade related experience.  As Director of Engineering, Rick is responsible for overseeing operations and engineering for all of Millbrook Properties. Included in these responsibilities are the development and administration of policies and procedures that preserve and maintain high standards of tenant service, equipment and facility integrity, conscientious management of resources, recruiting and training of all building engineering staff. Also, all construction, capital projects and contracted work are subject to Rick’s review and monitoring to ensure adherence to excellence. 
 
Rick currently oversees the engineering and operations of nearly 3,000,000 square feet of class A commercial office properties for Millbrook. Throughout his career he has been instrumental in maintaining and developing quality service, maintenance and operational programs along with construction and project standards for 40 facilities totaling more than 5 million square feet. During this time he has provided leadership and support for his staff and has provided assistance to many of his peers in resolving their building issues. He has gained extensive knowledge in various types of building systems giving him the ability to implement operational procedures that will maximize efficiency in building operations. He has extensive experience in project management and performs due diligence reviews of building systems for new acquisitions. His tenure in engineering, operations and his mechanical experience have given him a clear vision and understanding of how to meet the needs of not only the facilities but the tenants, management teams and owners. He is able to lead and train staff to meet these needs with his same standard of excellence.
